If you’re looking to sell your home for maximum profit you’re going to have to inspect it top to bottom, to ensure that it’s in top-condition. With this handy checklist, you should be able to gauge what small home repairs you can do yourself and what repairs you should call TI Contractors to assist you with.
Things to Inspect:
Major mechanical systems- This includes the HVAC unit, plumbing and the electrical systems. There’s nothing worse than having a buyer move in and then they find out that AC unit doesn’t work. You can almost guarantee to hear from their lawyer. So avoid headaches and check it out beforehand.
Fixtures and appliances- Replace fixtures that are irreparable or unsightly. If the sink is so old that never looks clean, despite your tedious scrubbing, call a contractor that specializes in small home repairs and get it replaced. New fixtures and appliances don’t have to be top-of-the-line, but they should be decent quality and neutral in style.
Roof, basement, attic- Pay close attention to any needed repairs to your roof, basement or attic. Smart buyers always look at these areas for telltale signs of trouble, and if they see anything wrong they probably won’t continue with the sale.
